We are seeking an individual with a great attitude, ready to work hard as part of our mission-driven company. We are looking for someone who can keep the long-view in mind while solving complex and dynamic day-to-day assignments. You should be able to work productively as a leader and as a team member. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Compensation will be based on work experience and is negotiable. 

CAD Drafter
We have an immediate need for a non-exempt, full-time CAD Technician to work at our San Francisco headquarters.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist with site design projects; residential, institutional and commercial
  • Work directly with various project teams focused on infrastructure and site improvements
  • Create/revise existing drawings in accordance with company established
    procedures, practices, and standards
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Ability to create base files, 3D models, sections, profiles, grading, utility designs and
    plotting layouts
  • Ability to read and interpret technical architectural and civil design drawings
  • strong PC and AutoCAD skills and proficiency utilizing computer software to complete assignments
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil engineering drawings/documents
  • Ability to interpret engineering notes, written instructions, and detailed sketches, to prepare clear detailed drawings for engineering purposes
  • Ability to verify self-completed work; ensure engineer redlines have been addressed
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Works well and communicates effectively with others
  • Ability to prepare reports, correspondence and memos
  • Maintains accurate and complete records
  • Works independently under general supervision, uses initiative and good business judgment
  • Ability to plan, organizes, and prioritize, multi-task and use time effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret written information, and follow instructions
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure, quick and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work with multiple staff and be a part of multiple teaming scenarios.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Working knowledge of Windows
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps
 
Work Environment:
  • Well-lit, heated and/or air-conditioned open office workspace with a moderate degree of noise

  • Regularly required to sit, occasionally required to stand and walk, use hands to feel, or handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands or arms.
  • See details of objects that are more/less than a few feet away
